Prices will vary for completely custom designed mailboxes based on the amount of detail work and time it will take and whether it's a design I'm already familiar with or not. I like being exact when it comes to things I'm requested to paint, therefore I will research items I'm not familiar with and will print out things to look at and go by. This adds up in time as well as supplies. If I don't feel it's someting I can "do justice by" by doing myself, I will tell you up front and will suggest another painter. I do not charge extra for color changes or the addition of a butterfly or two, so do feel free to ask about a color change. To change a "simple" flower design into something totally different, however, may incur a price that's also totally different, depending on whether the flower is a simple one or is a more elaborate type. I don't do pet/person portraiture type paintings but can definitely refer artists to you that can. Even when you buy a decorated, protection sealed mailbox, from anywhere, you should still gently clean it periodically with soap and water, and spray lacquer sealer on your box at least once a year to prolong the condition and life of the artwork, especially if it's in direct sunlight...You can even give it a good waxing occasionally with your car's rub-on wax to make it even more weather resistant! What can I say? The mailbox I received as a present from my brother created by you is remarkable. I am a huge UGA fan. So much so that I stayed in Athens after college and work for the University.
